TII holds the seminar ‘From Low Interest Rate to Negative Interest Rate – Opportunities and Challenges for Insurance Market’ on 20th April 2016

Taiwan Insurance Institute held the seminar ‘From Low Interest Rate to Negative Interest Rate Opportunities and Challenges for Insurance Market’ at TICC on 20th April 2016.

The seminar invited Jennifer Wang, Chairperson of FSC, as the Guest of Honor and three speakers: Takashi Hamano, Assistant Commissioner for International Affairs of FSA Japan, Alan Yip, Head of Asia Insurance Strategy, J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Biing-Shen Kuo, Professor of Department of International Business of NCCU Taiwan, to introduce the background and status of negative interest rate policies of Japan, US/EU and the implications to Taiwan for opportunities and challenges.

Through the seminar, participants learnt not only updated information regarding the effects of negative interest rate in Japan and US/EU but were able to discuss the implications of negative interest rate to Taiwan insurance market.
