International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS 4 Phase II Educational Training Program (second phase)

In June 2013, International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) announced the revised exposure draft of “IFRS 4-insurance contract”, and the final version is expected to be adopted in early 2015 and implemented in 2018. The implementation will have significant impact on life insurance industry. In order to facilitate thorough understanding of the essence of “IFRS 4-insurance contract” for the industry to react accordingly as well as grasping the latest global trend, Taiwan Insurance Institute invites professional accountants and actuaries of PWC who are involved deeply in the development of IFRS 4 and are experienced in the field of life insurance as valuable speakers. We believe that through insightful analysis with speakers’ pragmatic views and case studies, staffs and managers at all levels within life insurance companies could be fully prepared to encounter the challenges brought by the change of accounting regime, and in turn, the degree of impact could be effectively reduced.
