Taiwan Insurance Institute (TII) organized the annual event of “2024 Improving English Proficiency Workshop – Insurance International Affairs”

To echo the National Development Council’s blueprint toward a bilingual nation by 2030, TII has once again organized the annual event of “Improving English Proficiency Workshop – Insurance International Affairs” from May 7 to 10, 2024.

It is the second time of cross collaboration between TII and the British Council. The workshop created a task-oriented and immersive business English environment, integrated with insurance practice. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Andrew Yeh, President of TII, addressed to wish the event an opportunity of expanding the international horizons for the participants. Mr. Ralph Rogers, Director Taiwan of British Council, as the event guest of honor, also expressed his hope to deepen the cooperation and exchanges between Taiwan and the United Kingdom through the workshop.

This year, the workshop is designed as a 3-day-journey. The first day seminar was held at the British Council, and then on the second and final day, we headed to Gaia Hotel in Beitou for a camp-style workshop. It covered in-depth communication and presentation skills, applied with extensive scenarios in the insurance/financial practices. In the meantime, networking settings were arranged to further polish social English, aiming to thoroughly fulfil the immersive all-English thinking goal.

Having been encouraged by the extensive support from the insurance industry. TII wished to carry on organizing the annual workshop, missioned to cultivate bilingual talents and promote the internationalization for the insurance and financial industry.
