Taiwan Insurance Institute (TII) organized the annual event of “2025 Improving English Proficiency Workshop – Insurance International Affairs”.
To echo the National Development Council’s blueprint toward a bilingual nation by 2030, TII has once again organized the annual event of “Improving English Proficiency Workshop – Insurance International Affairs” from June 10 to 12, 2025 at Gaia Hotel in Beitou.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Linus Chan, President of TII, addressed to wish the event an opportunity for the participants to expand their international horizons of professionalism and benefit abundantly their career in the insurance industry.
This three-day workshop was led by Mr. Kent Wang, the Deputy Dean of Chinese Language Center, within the English Department of Soochow University, and an interpretation expert for international government leadership summits. We also had the contribution of Mr. Erik Lin, the assistant professor of Soochow University and the adviser to Taipei City Government, specializing in international negotiations for the insurance industry.
All participants were enthusiastically involved in this all-in-English environment throughout the event, such as moderating international conferences and simulating business negotiations. TII also presented awards in a simulated ceremony to encourage each of these distinctly talented participants in their efforts to challenge themselves.
This participant-centric event was truly an immersive, challenging, and inspiring experience that was tailor-made for participants. It went beyond English proficiency training with the focus of levelling up and refining international negotiation techniques and persuasive speaking skills of participants. It incorporated in-depth communication and presentation skills, applied with extensive immersive scenarios embedded in networking settings for insurance/financial practices.
Having been encouraged by the extensive support from the insurance industry. TII wished to carry on organizing the annual workshop, missioned to cultivate bilingual talents and promote the internationalization for the insurance industry.
