台灣地區尿毒症治療群體精算模型研究An Actuarial Model for Taiwan’s ESRD Patients

摘要
由於癌症一直位居台灣地區死亡率首位，相關癌症的統計向為政府重視。因此，有比較完整的經驗統計值，可以提供癌症保險制定費率的參考。至於尿毒症，並無類似的統計資訊可以依循，但多數商業健康保險已將其納入在保障之中。故無論由保費計算或是風險管理的觀點，均需要有系統地建立尿毒症的經驗統計模型。本研究擷取全民健保資料庫，藉由馬可夫鏈模型，獲得包括男女性各年齡首次罹病率、首次罹病後存活率、死力等估計值。最後，利用所得統計數值，探討尿毒症保險的費率釐定。

Abstract
Currently, many commercial life insurance companies offer health plans to cover end-stage-renal disease (ESRD) risk without actuarial supporting model. Based on Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Research Database, this study builds a Markov chain model to estimate the morbidity and mortality rate for ESRD patients in Taiwan. Our findings provide estimates of related figures for pricing.
