投資型保險業務與壽險公司經營績效Investment-Linked Insurance Business and Financial Performance: An Analysis of Life

摘要
　　本文目的為運用台灣壽險公司2000年至2008年追蹤資料，檢驗投資型保險業務與公司績效之間是否相關。結果發現，投資型保險業務對於壽險公司財務績效有正向影響力，易言之，財務績效是壽險公司銷售投資型保險業務的一項重要理由。而且，研究亦發現，無論產品分散衡量為何，結果皆顯示投資型保險業務對於公司績效的影響，隨產品分散程度而異。

Abstract
　　This paper aims to examine the relationship between investment-linked business and company performance using the panel data from 2000 to 2008 of life insurers in Taiwan. The results indicated that sales of investment-linked business have positive influence on the financial performance for the insurers. Moreover, regardless of the product diversification measured used, we find that the effects of investment-linked business on insurer performance vary by the degree of product diversification.
