本文之目的在於探討各種車禍過失理論及信賴原則之內容及演進，並比較分析新、舊過失理論之差異性，及其對車禍當事人在民、刑事責任上之影響。因此對各種過失理論妥為適當應用，是車禍過失責任的重要課題。

Abstract
This paper aims to analyze the contents and developments of difference negligence theories and reliance principle of traffic accidents. It compares the old negligence theories to the new ones and explores the implications of their differences for the determination of peoples criminal and civil liabilities in traffic accidents.
